PLAYTYPE CONCEPT STORE BY E-TYPES, COPENHAGEN, DENMARK

Playtype is an online type foundry established by the Danish design firm e-Types. The Playtype™ Concept Store, located in Copenhagen’s Vesterbro, is the physical manifestation of the online shop. It provides a street level entry to typography. The interior is a visible extension of typography and the products, from the black and white chequered floor to the monochrome palette featuring oversized fonts on windows and walls. Type fans and general public alike are tempted by fonts stored on custom made USB flash drives and a ragbag of other tangible products like T-shirts, notebooks, posters, mugs emblazoned by with graphic characters and other type paraphernalia all continuing the typography theme. Playtype™ is a humble, contemporary monument to typography.

Playtype es una fundición tipográfica online establecida por la empresa danesa de diseño e-Types. La Playtype™ Concept Store, ubicada en Vesterbro, Copenhagen, es la manifestación física de la tienda online. Proporciona una entrada a pie de calle a la tipografía. El interior es una extensión visible de la tipografía y sus productos, desde el suelo a cuadros blanco y negro a la paleta monocromática que permite presentar fuentes de gran tamaño en ventanas y paredes.
